What's your history?
I grew up in Moweaqua and currently reside there today. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Lincoln Christian University (where I met my wife). I started working for the Decatur Bicycle Shoppe my sophomore year of college doing bicycle assembly and repair work. After a couple years, I became Sales Manager. Fast forward a few more years a co-bought the store and am now one of the owner's. In 2018, my wife and I had our first child. And here we are...

How did you get into the bicycle industry?
My dad knew I was looking for a job while in college and heard from a customer of DBS that they were looking for someone. So I called Frank and chatted with him and set up a time for an interview. I drove to Decatur the day of the interview and arrived to find that Frank was home doing paperwork and he forgot.... On my drive back to Lincoln, Frank called me and conducted a phone interview and gave me the job. I started the very next morning.

What are your hobbies?
Besides riding my bikes, I love to play guitar. When I'm not working, I play lead guitar during worship at the First Christian Church of Moweaqua on Sunday mornings. I am also a huge fan of movies and tv shows. My wife and I try to get out and see as many movies as possible, which has very much slowed down with the birth of our little girl. I also enjoy reading (typically literature). So if you've read a good book (or even better a series) let me know.

What is your favorite food?
I'd have to say pepperoni pizza.

What's the strangest request you ever got from a customer?
A customer asked me to ride a little girls bike through the store so he could see would it would look like for their nine year old daughter...

(In a deep, rough, manly voice) One stormy spring night my family and I were held up at gunpoint by an obese man. He demanded money for more cheeseburgers, but as my father reached for his sack of McDonald's, the man shot my parents in cold blood. Fueled by vengeance, I now ride the streets of Decatur encouraging healthy lifestyles everywhere.

What's your history?
I actually started being active by running. But in Indianapolis I lived a block away from the trail that runs through the center of the whole city. So after I bought a Trek 1.1 and started to commute by bike my car didn’t move for 9 straight months.  I learned that you don’t have to just commute with the bike and you don’t have to ride on the trail only. You guys were around for everything after that!

How did you get into the bicycle industry?
DBS

What are your hobbies?
Woodworking

What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is pizza.  It’s a food group of its own.

What's the strangest request you ever got from a customer?
One time a guy asked me why his tire wore through in a specific place. The tire had to have had thousands of miles on it and the threads were exposed all around. “But why did it wear through right here?”
